Dapo Bolaji President
Mr. Bolaji has served COPA as President since July 2008. He is an Information Technology practitioner with B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science and worked for many years in Nigeria becoming a Senior Manager at the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN). Mr Bolaji and his family relocated to Canada in 1998 and he has worked in various positions including Manager, Technical Services, AIM TRIMART Investments, Toronto. He started working as an independent Oracle Applications Consultant in 2006 and had consulted for various organizations including Harris Corporation, ACCO Canada and Enbridge Gas distributions.

Bernard Adebayo-Ige, P.E. LEED AP, General Secretary
Mr. Adebayo-Ige is the current secretary general of COPA; he served as the assistance secretary from 2002 to 2008 before becoming the secretary general. Mr. Adebayo-Ige received the Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree (First Class Honors) from the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, University of Ilorin in 1985. He then joined the UAC of Nigeria as a management trainee in 1986 where the moved through the company leadership and, in 1994 he proceeded to the University College, London UK, where he obtained M.Sc. in Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning after which he relocated to the United States. Mr. Adebayo-Ige has worked with Fortune 500 companies including Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he was responsible for Pharmaceutical HVAC projects management and SUPERVALU, where as a Regional Director of Facility Engineering he was responsible for about over 280 supermarket stores facility operations with an annual budget of about US$45 M in capital and O & M expenditures.

Mr. Adebayo-Ige is a professional engineer registered, and currently practices mechanical engineering with specialization in Energy, Environmental Sustainability & HVAC design in California. He is a member of American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (ASHRAE), American Energy Engineers (AEE) and United State Green Building Council. (USGBC). Mr. Adebayo-Ige has volunteered his time in the past as a member of the General Planning Committee for the City of Eastvale, California.

Dr. Yemisi Bolaji- Alepa Social Secretary
Dr Bolaji has served on the COPA executive board since 2005. Dr Bolaji is a practicing family physician in Toronto, Canada. She graduated from The University of Ilorin Medical school in 1990. Dr Bolaji completed her Post Graduate /Resiency training in Family and Community Medicine at Sunnnybrook and Womens's hospital University of Toronto in 2004. Dr Bolaji does Primary care, her other areas of Interest includes Women's Health and Trvael Medicine. Dr Bolaji is a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in good standing.

She does Peer review work for The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Dr Bolaji is a member of the College of family Physicians of Ontario, she is involved with college duties on a regular basis. Dr Bolaji is married to Joseph and they are blessed with two children. They reside in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.

Tunde Obatolu Publicity Secretary
Mr. Obatolu is the Publicity Secretary of COPA. Mr. Obatolu received the Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria in 1988. He was also educated at University of New Brunswick, Saint John, Canada, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration specialization in e-Business and Commerce (2001).

Mr. Obatolu is a member of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. Mr. Obatolu has worked as an Information Technology professional for Glaxo a pharmaceutical firm immediately after graduation. Mr. Obatolu has subsequently worked in positions of increasing responsibility of technology delivery and business management for other multinational firms like Siemens-Eltec in the Telecommunications industry, Chevron in the Oil and Gas industry and Best Buy in the retail industry. Mr. Obatolu is currently employed as a Service Governance Manager by Research In Motion, the firm best known for the BlackBerry smart phone product. Mr. Obatolu has extensive experience in process management and related professional certifications such as the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Six Sigma and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).

Dr. Irewole Orisamolu Ex Officio Member
Dr. Orisamolu is one of the founding members of COPA, served as the inaugural Secretary-General from 2002 to 2008, and has continuously served as a member of the Executive Council. Dr. Orisamolu earned the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, in 1980. His education continued at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where he earned the Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering in 1985 and 1988, respectively.

He earned several awards of academic distinction as a graduate student at the University of Calgary, including the prestigious Izaak Walton Killam memorial scholarship. Immediately after completing his doctoral studies, he was employed as a Senior Research Engineer by Martec Limited, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, where he conducted advanced research and development in Computational Mechanics. During his tenure at Martec, he developed advanced computational models and software systems for simulating the performance and reliability of advanced defense and energy systems. He rose to the position of Manager, Research and Emerging Technologies Department, and initiated, executed, and directed several research programs for Canadian as well as USA government clients, including working with NASA on the development of advanced computational tools for the design of smart materials and structures for aerospace systems. While at Martec, he also served as an Adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Dalhousie University of Technology.

Dr. Orisamolu then joined United Technologies Corporation (UTC), a Fortune-50 company, based in Hartford, Connecticut, USA, in 1999, where he has been engaged in the research, development, and insertion of innovative technologies that differentiate UTC aerospace and commercial products. His work has focused on the development of computational stochastic mechanics methodologies for the design, performance analysis, and reliability/risk assessment of advanced UTC products, including aircraft engines, helicopters, elevators, and power generation systems. During his tenure at UTC, he has held several leadership and management positions at multiple UTC divisions, including responsibilities for the management of large programs and departments with multi-million dollar annual budgets.

Dr. Orisamolu is a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), a Member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and has previously served as an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Structural Health Monitoring. Dr. Orisamolu has published over 60 refereed papers in conference proceedings and international journals, over 40 technical reports, and delivered several invited lectures.

Otunba Foluso Ladeinde, Ph.D Ex-Officio Member
Dr. Ladeinde was the inaugural president of COPA, serving from 2002 to 2008, and has been on the Executive Council of the association since 2008. Dr. Ladeinde received the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree (First Class Honours) from the Faculty of Technology, University of Ibadan in 1979. He was also educated at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, where he obtained three graduate degrees, including a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (1988). After his Ph.D. program, Dr. Ladeinde was employed for three years with Technalysis, Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, as a high performance computing (HPC) engineer, where he developed highly innovative commercial software products. He joined the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1991 as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, where he has since been promoted and tenured. Dr. Ladeinde was the Director of both the undergraduate and graduate programs in his department at Stony Brook and the Director of the Computer-Aided Design/Engineering Laboratory for over a decade.

Dr. Ladeinde’s areas of research include fluid dynamics and aerospace engineering, high-energy physics, software engineering, and high-performance computing (HPC). He is a visiting professor and a fellow of the United States (U.S.) Air Force and the U.S. National Research Council (NRC), and a visiting scientist at the U.S. Department of Energy Brookhaven National Laboratory. Dr. Ladeinde is a Life Member and an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and a Life Member of the American Physical Society (APS). He has for two terms chaired the External Review Board of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Center for Aerospace Research at North Carolina A&T University, Greensboro, NC, USA. He consults for many major U.S. Defense companies, has produced over 205 publications in internationally-recognized archival journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings in aerospace engineering-related topics, and was the PI or Co-PI of grants and contracts totaling over US$21 million.

Dr. Ladeinde is an Editor of AIAA Journal, the flagship journal of the American Institute of aeronautics and Astronautics and the best aerospace technical journal in the world. Dr. Ladeinde’s paper on scramjets won the 2010 AIAA Best Paper Award all over the world on High-Speed Air-Breathing Propulsion for Military Aircraft. Dr. Ladeinde is a weekly columnist on IT/ICT for the Daily Trust International newspaper.
